Try that and if you are still stuck I’ll try creating a legacy account just to confirm. For you if it’s the Trezor model T

I have tried with my Trezor T, ubuntu 20.04.3, chrome 94.0.4606.81 64 bit and everything seems to work fine.

I also don’t have addresses that start with 1

I understand that you are desperate and I have also been there.

I’m sorry I can’t help more, I hope everything works out, Keep reporting.

Luck.

You can import private keys into Omni Core

@anon61899651 this is a long shot, but did you test with a different cable?

Tried a different cable, same issue.

Created a new wallet, added some funds and tried to send out, same issue.

It seems that there is someone here with the same problem, I don’t know if you have seen it?

I found the issue on the Github page yeah. I’m not sure if this is something that will be picked up by the repository owner?

I just managed to derive my private key from my test wallet and imported it into the omniwallet. Managed to get the test funds out that way. Not sure if I feel comfortable doing that with a larger transaction though, any thoughts?

Just as a test on your Trezor you could try creating a wallet beginning with a 3 and sending in some Btc and 1 maid and try to send the coin back out.

To avoid using the online website you can use Omni Core, or you can setup offline signing with Armory

I’ve always used omni wallet.
I’ve always exposed a key to it with my whole balance, and transferred what I want to move out, and what I’m keeping to a new address.
I’ve never had any problems.

If your not comfortable with that, use omni core.

In fact that’s a slight lie, I once had some maid on a separate key, I exposed it to omni wallet, moved what I wanted and left a balance on the original key.
6 months later the coins were still there.
I wouldn’t advise that ever, but it happened.

Aren’t the keys on omniwallet encrypted and decrypted in your browser and sends built in browser too.

Or did I read the details of its working wrong.

Even so keeping private keys on any online wallet is a risk. But loading your private key in order to send (all) your tokens/coins is by far the safest action with omniwallet.org and is there any instance of someone losing their coins when doing this in one session. There is no need to expose your receiving address private keys.

Not sure how it works, but they shouldn’t leave your pc, so you’re probably correct.

Indeed, daft leaving coins on an exposed key.

In theory, until something happens like the website gets compromised or an employee goes rogue and, instead of working like that, the site just steals the private key. Or you make a typo and go to the wrong website (myetherwallet had many malicious sites sitting on typo URLs). Or you have malware locally monitoring your clipboard.
It is crazy to use a web wallet for any significant amount of funds IMO, particularly when there are much better options available.

What is your view about the case most suggest (as do I) that people only load up private key to move all their coins from that address. @drehb

Well yes, sweeping all of the coins is better, but I suppose I’m a bit old school in that I’d say the point of crypto is being self sovereign… don’t trust, verify etc. So run your own node if possible instead of relying on a 3rd party website. It is only the Bitcoin blockchain after all. By design it is meant to be manageable for everyone to run a node, unlike say something like Solana.

I bought and stored maid safe a couple of years ago and I have no idea where. I was able to find a paper with a wallet I’d number and a private key but have tried many websites and no luck. Does anyone know what can I do ? Much appreciated

Hello @Ohhjesslo,

see point 2.1 of the OP:

Because you mention that you have a wallet ID, it’s probably from omniwallet, but in any case, if it’s not from there, you can create an omniwallet wallet and insert the private key you have to move the tokens from there on an exchange to sell them.
