That’s an assumption. What most people tolerate, is not an indication of what they care for.
It’s not about the integrity of the network; it’s about the network’s ability to provide privacy; security; and freedom to its users. Again, I think you do not understand the problem.
That does not suggest its effects are not felt.
I’ve objected before now to the way Government interferes to warp perceptions; that is amongst the most toxic actions a Government can take and is another sign of real corruption in the establishment. Conservatives indulge what is simple without understanding the consequences - and those involved are inherently conservative - institutionalised by a certain mode of thought that is compounding the problems we face.
However, censorship is not all about Government; Government just represents its people and those people and their institutions, corporations, etc also apply censorship, in ways that then impact on others.
That censorship is not seen, does not suggest that it is necessarily or healthy. If you pander to the lowest common denominator, then you suffer it. Again, conservatives are dull and like to provide solutions for problems that don’t exists and wars on nouns that are ineffective.
If you want censorship, then there will likely be an app for that. The difference here is who is in control… and only those who want to manipulate others, will object.
Perhaps… or perhaps your putting feeler out for the best argument in favour of that which you don’t understand, in order that you can manipulate perception and fix it to be the way you want. There me playing devil’s advocate.
Still, the reality is that those who do not or cannot understand, will object to that which challenges them.
Shows an ignorance for encryption. The air you breath and the money you worship, do more and will continue to do more for enabling ‘illegal things’ than almost anything, except perhaps for an appetite for making bad law.
