if anyone is trying with a vm in virtual box set the network mode to Bridged and in advanced enable “promiscuous allow all”

Trying to join with my node now. It seems that I’m doing something wrong though because safe keys create hangs for me – here’s what I see in the log:

…just finished putting a folder of 432MB with 6 files of sizes varying from about 49MB to 118MB! Took a few hours, I had a guest in the house so I didn’t follow very closely.

I couldnt set a node up got the IGD problem. Tried to download multiple files but getting lots of errors. Managed to get some coins but not a lot:

How long is it taking people to complete “safe keys create --test-coins --for-cli” step?

For me it seems to be hanging … I’ve tried a few times - each time hanging for at least 15 minutes before I terminate.

Edit: So after leaving the request for a while ~20 minutes, I get this error:

We think the network is getting tired now, quite possibly due to massive logs. The fixes we had for the logging impact on performance, were unfortunately not applied as we hoped, so the logs have been growing instead of the files being rotated.

PRs are already in with fixes, but it’s unclear at the moment if we will be able to release a v6.1 with this during the weekend.

A lot of changes between v5 and v6, so I expected that v6 would be a tough roll-out.

How does someone not have a public IP?

And another one which perhaps does not have a clear answer or we would have the solution, if it worked before why has it suddenly thrown a hissy fit?

What that means is your machine is not direct connected and your router is not using UpNP to map an public IP to your computers private IP.

That’s almost certainly a bug.
