Would it be posible to include some way to check node conectivity status?
Something like:
established connections: x direct, y IGD,...
failed connections: z
I am still not clear on node age.
I see numbers 4, 5, 6⌠100 used to describe age but then we have adults and elders too.
Are the numbers correlated to adult/elder status?
I think @lionel.faber mentioned in earlier (last cycle) tests that it would we simple to add something to the logs to see your node age.
What is more important, elder status or a age of 200 in terms of rewards.
Yes, this would be cool. And maybe at some point some connections for dummies as well.
I was checking what kind of connectivity I can achieve, and it turned out that my routed supports IGD and I have readiness for both ipv4 and ipv6. But I donât know exactly if and what to set up for best connection. I was thinking about enabling the IGD, but many websites said it is questionable practice from a security point of view, so I decided to first try just out of the box settings. And it worked, but maybe not for elder.
The oldest connectable (reachable)Adults are Elders. Group size 7 Elders when possible.
This is the easiest.
Hi,
Just had first chance to install and tryâŚ
So far:
[sn_node] ERROR 2021-04-14T14:50:22.026398330+01:00 [src/bin/sn_node.rs:124] Cannot start node due to error: Routing(Network(UnresolvedPublicIp)). Exiting
Install seemed to go perfectly on 18.04
is there a port required through firewall?
Rup
I had the same error. With the previous Fleming testnets this wasnât an issue.
Thanks!!
Been waiting for ages to be able to run a node again.

See topic header, network is down guys. Wait for v3
Hi,
I suspected this was the problem, I did see it was down, but wasnât sure if that was up to date.
Thanks for letting us knowâŚ
Rup
I had the same error when the network was up.
Really loving the quick iterations and public tests⌠Warts and all.
I also need to put some time aside to dig in. Will we get another version out before weekend?
Keep up the phenomenonal work
I guess itâs the relief of having something to show. Not quite sure why not having a demonstration can be so pressuring, but I know that feeling.
Before network was working just theoretically (from userâs point of view), now it works practically (and everyone can see it).
When theories meets practice it always a good sign.
By coincidence I just ran into this article that explains this bug:
Most loved programming language Rust sparks privacy concerns
Rust compiled binaries retain username and home directory paths
blimey⌠perhaps doesnât matter here if it was the case thatâs some anon machine actioning the compile but interesting to see that. Is talked as bug, expect it will be fixed then.
By coincidence I just ran into this article that explains this bug:
Very interesting. Now that this is known, weâll miss out on learning all the provocative usernames used by MaidSafe devs on their desktop PCs
/home/runner/âŚ
So who is the Netrunner fanboy? The irony is sweet.
With the release of testnet v3, this topic is now closed.
