Not too fond of the new browser logo either. I don’t think the outer border improves the logo.
I wonder why it was added. I assume because the logo without the border was felt to be inadequate?
Edit: in case the logo is perceived to be too vague it would be an option to use a darker variant like on the safedev forum or perhaps a darker shade of blue.
I quite like the logo, I think the rectangle on the sidebar that it is in needs to be blue so that it’s edges don’t blur or it needs an outline.
That or the smaller version top left and taskbar is sufficient… perhaps remove it at the sidebar.
When @anon40790172 listed it recently I liked it right off the bat.
When I look at my taskbar and compare the icon for the SAFE Browser with let’s say the Firefox icon and the Telegram icon I can’t say that the SAFE Browser icon really stand out, as in I immediately know where my SAFE Browser is on the taskbar. Really hope it can be made a little more obvious.
It did does look alright in this screenshot that @whiteoutmashups made though. I guess it’s also the size of the logo in the task bar that doesn’t help.
I think we’ll get updated binaries at least, but probably also a new network because I think there are some bugfixes since pushed to master that aren’t in this test. I don’t think this will delay things significantly, so fingers crossed.
