For your next trick, can you make the contact form work?
Everything else on that page seems to do what it should (mostly)

its just a template can worry about making next sites work and put friends down as contact details ![]()
@safemedia very nice work on the browser ![]()
Yeah I know - but we needed to know all the elements were being displayed. Until today they were most def not showing up.
Just FYI - this has now been released: AntTP - Serving Autonomi data over HTTP - #292 by Traktion
I just had an issue on Windows where Windows Defender had a false-positive for the SafeBoxClient, so just a warning to anyone trying this on Windows, it will need to be allowed if Windows Defender tries to delete it.
Another question; is the wallet function working? On windows in Brave I’m not able to use it (clicking does nothing) so can’t test uploads.
The wallet should work in the local client for uploading, I haven’t tested on windows though.
Are you in local mode on the extension in the settings, it won’t be enabled if you are in endpoint mode.
You can see the wallet settings on the local client in the settings section.
Thanks. Yes, it’s in client mode. I will put wallet info in the client and try again ![]()
The upload button in extension should open a new tab in your browser for the upload screen, perhaps your browser is blocking this tab from popping up?
New release for extension:
Added fix for bug spotted by @neo regarding default endpoint not populating on install.
I downloaded the latest 0.1.6 and when adding it to brave it says 0.1.4
Seems like it should have said 0.1.6 shouldn’t it?
The manifest.json file has "version": "0.1.4"
EDIT: Works fine though
I will ensure the version is fixed in the next release. There are a few places to update it and I seemed to miss that one ![]()
Slight update on browser front - I will not be using verso and will instead just be forking an existing browser. Choosing between brave & librefox at the moment.
It’s a big shame we can’t have something Servo based (Verso) and Firefox based (Librefox) may not be a good choice going forward:
Trevor Flowers: "What a surprise, Google keeps Chrome but has to s…" - Machines.social
New release to upgrade anttp version.
This brings power saving & directory traversal.
I mean we could use verso, but it’s not currently in a position for what we need.
If I was funded I could dedicate my time to getting it into a place to where it is, but currently I’m not in that position so getting something to market faster would be more beneficial while waiting for verso to get to a milestone where we can use it in the future.
Future plan for anttp endpoint servers like antsnest etc would be to have a UI page for the admin.
This UI page would allow the admin to configure different settings that are possible in anttp. Once saved they would restart anttp with the changes.
https://ladybird.org/ is more promising than any other browser IMHO.
Agree on the firefox front, I ran into lots of automation issues around setting up meta mask wallets in firefox, I now call it Snagglefox, documentation in this use case is m-i-a, I find it’s hieirarchical file structure super disorganized, never mind the thing is slow when one uses a mouse driven automation to macroclick through the UI because it is so convoluted, cuz mozilla keeps moving stuff around the root cause of all these problems, Its a revolving door at that place.
They build in C++. I wish they would have just migrated to rust when they took over the code from the previous guys. I can code in C++, but honestly it’s not as fun and it’s been a while
So I think the plan is still to fork an existing browser for now, and later when verso is ready, to migrate to that.
In an even more odd move, they’re moving from C++ to Swift.
