We need a few good optional measures to recover our credentials - as a service .
It could be enough to clearly state that any optional choice for recovery taken has its
own set of pitfalls & advantages . Users should carefully ponder before committing .
For some it will suffice to write down their credentials and store them in different places , others may prefer to choose from programmatic mechanisms our network may provide as built-in options or app-service .
I’m saying , SAFE should give 2-3 options to recover credentials by opting into such a built-in service at any point in time , other app-providers could offer similar or other additional services to manage credentials , passwords etc to users who would trust a third party app .
Speaking for myself only , I’m fine securing myself any credentials I’ll have and maybe even
using a built-in recovery mechanism that is user-friendly and has the right risk-benefit bias .
